The approach

A little space.
A deeper understanding.

Your outer world is a reflection of your inner world.

A mountain path through a New Zealand valley

The journey inward.

01 / Looking inward

Getting to know
your inner world.

We all have an inner world and an outer world. Our outer world is all the things we can see, hear, smell and touch in the world. Our inner world comprises our thoughts, feelings, emotions and sensations.

Our inner world largely determines how we live our life, the choices we make, our interactions with others and our response to things, both positive and negative.

In order to access our inner world we need to turn our awareness inward, gently close our eyes and become aware of what is happening for us in our inner world. This can be a disorientating experience because many people have not done this before.

02 / Internal Family Systems

Many parts.
One you.

We are all made of many parts; we are not a singular self.

We have a part that wants to watch TV and another part that thinks we should get up and do something. We have parts of us that want to be connected to our children and the part that gets angry and yells.

We need to approach our inner world with reverence, compassion, curiosity and care as the parts of us that have been wounded and hurt live there as well as the parts of us that hold our potential and qualities for us to be the best version of ourselves.

This is where I can help, I support you to connect with your inner world and explore what is happening in a safe and supportive way. To do this I use Internal Family Systems (IFS).

03 / Connecting with Self

Coming home
to yourself.

Self — Self with a capital “S” — is the aspect of us that is untouched by our history, our traumas and hurts. This self is our true essence and has the qualities of:

Curiosity

Compassion

Confidence

Creativity

Connectedness

Courage

Calm

Clarity

A little curiosity. A new beginning.

Let’s work together.
